Walking Festival
The Isle of Wight Council is pleased to announce the winners of three of its seven Isle of Wight Walking Festival competitions.
Margot Emery of Northampton won a ViewRanger GPS tool for her mobile phone, Michal Slazak from Ryde, Isle of Wight won a pair of handmade HanWag banks GTX walking boots and Tracey Asher from Newport, Isle of Wight won a weekend break with Step-by-Step Walking Holidays in Shanklin.
The winners of the remaining four competitions will be announced during the Autumn Walking Weekend this October. Prizes include a walking goody-bag, a pair of Hi-Tec walking boots, a six-night walking holiday with Wight Walks and a three-night guided walking holiday in Freshwater with HF Holidays. The Autumn Walking Festival takes place 22 – 25 October 2010 and offers over 60 walks for all ages and abilities.
