One of the most popular events in the Isle of Wight Bowls calendar, Staddlestones Bembridge Week, starts on Sunday 29th August and runs through to Finals Day on Friday 3rd September.
Entry is open to all bowls players registered to Bowls Isle of Wight, but such is the popularity of the event, which has established its reputation through friendly bowls competitions and a high level of hospitality, that entries for this year event was filled with days of the entries forms being sent out.
Bembridge Week stages four classes of mixed competition, Two wood singles, pairs, triples and fours together with a plate competition for the singles. The event has run in its present form for over 30 years, although its roots can be traced back over 70 years when it first started as a Men’s Open Tournament.
Spectators and supporter are welcome at the Staddlestones Bembridge Week, matches start at 9.30am or 10.00 am each morning at our Mitten Road venue, Bembridge and a wide range of refreshments and beverages are available throughout the day. Parking is available next to the Bowls Club
