Hovertravel, the fastest Isle of Wight passenger service across the Solent, created the perfect end to the perfect Bestival weekend.
As thousands of festival goers were leaving the island after the event, Hovertravel staged a Bye Bye Bestival Comedown session with Isle of Wight radio yesterday morning (13 September).
Neil Chapman, Hovertravel’s Managing Director said: “Bestival creates such a fabulous party atmosphere, we wanted to extend the party feeling for everyone returning from the festival. It is always a busy time for us as festival goers want the quickest way home.
“For our Comedown session we provided a live stream to the Isle of Wight Radio’s breakfast show and presenters came down to entertain the crowd and give out free water. It was a huge success and our new queue system enabled us to transport record numbers as quickly as possible. It was the perfect end to the perfect festival weekend.”
Jake and Jenny, returning from the festival with Hovertravel, said: “We chose Hovertravel because of how quick is it, we use it every year for Bestival and it means we don’t have to walk all the way up the pier.”
