East Cowes V Rew Valley (cup) Well, this is the most important game of the season so far, the cup if you lose your out.
The opposition happened to be the team we played Wednesday, East Cowes but this time at their home ground. Well how would we play today after Wednesdays success.
The 1st half started quite nicely for the Valley with Harry Wintersgill scoring a goal in the 5th minute. Callum Steele and Antony Kettell played fantastically up-front whilst Bailey Exposite made exceptional saves in goal. Callum Ryan scored a superb goal in the 15th minute followed by a fantastic goal by Jack Croad in the 16th minute. Declan Morgan Philips, Jake Ferguson and Travis Steptoe played fantastically in defence doing a brilliant job as always. Half time came with the score 3-0.
The 2nd half began with a goal by East Cowes in the 1st minute but Antony Kettell responded with an exceptional goal in the 31st minute for the Valley. Lyndon Morgan Philips, Baggy Silman and George Hyde played fantastically in midfield helping whenever needed. The game then flowed quite nicely until the goal scare by East Cowes with 2 goals in the 56th and 66th minutes. The game then ended with the score 3-4. Quarter finals here we come. A bit of a scare at the end but a well deserved win.
