Do you know what wonderful plants are to be found in our verges and waysides? Everything from pyramidal orchids, the flower of the Isle of Wight, to unusual annuals and rare perennials.
To educate and entertain, the West Wight Landscape Partnership will be running FREE illustrated talks on the 14th October and the 18th November, starting at 6.30pm.
The first lecture is entitled ‘Wild Flowers of our Waysides and Verges’. The second will also look at suitable garden plants to grow in the West Wight and is entitled ‘Wild Flowers and Garden Plants of the West Wight’.
It is anticipated that there will be a lot of interest in this fascinating subject, so book early to avoid disappointment! Places must be booked, contact Irene Fletcher on 01983 759779 or email irene.fletcher@iow.gov.uk for more
information.
