POLICE APPEAL AFTER ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION

Police are continuing to investigate a report of a road traffic collision near Whiteley Bank on the Isle of Wight.

A man aged in his 40s was riding a motor scooter along Canteen Road towards Apse Heath between 7.45am and 8.15am on Friday, March 25, 2011.

It’s alleged a collision took place when a black BMW car was being driven in the same direction on Canteen Road, alongside the scooter.

The scooter rider came off and received injuries that were not life threatening.

A police investigation is continuing and officers are keen to hear from any witnesses, particularly any motorists who remember seeing a scooter and a black BMW being driven on Canteen Road from Whiteley Bank towards Apse Heath between 7.45am and 8.15am on Friday, March 25, 2011.
