THOUSANDS if visitors turned up at Cowes Yacht Haven over the weekend for the Anual RIBEX event, the only boat show in the world dedicated solely to rigid inflatable boats.
The Suzuki-sponsored boat show got underway with sailing hero Pete Goss announcing his involvement in a major RIB expedition to the Arctic. Around 80 RIBs were on display with over 100 visiting RIBs moored up. Among the activities on offer were family RIB rides and the chance to sit in the navigator seat of a championship RIB and be driven around The Solent. In the evening, the yacht haven came alive to RIBFEST, the waterside music festival, headlined by The Hamsters and Dr Feelgood.
