FRIENDLY FIRES TURN UP THE HEAT AT RIZLAB PLUS TIME FOR TEASE
The good times keep on rolling at Bestival! With all of our headliners out of the bag and the news that Liverpool legends The La’s will be making a rare appearance at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight, we’re jumping for joy about yet another amazing act joining our burgeoning bill that already includes The Cure, Bjork, Pendulum, PJ Harvey, Primal Scream, Public Enemy, Robyn, Brian Wilson and more magical fun than you can possibly imagine.
Rob da Bank says:
‘I’ve been following Friendly Fires since I played out their early demos on Radio 1 and am a devoted fan of both their albums! The boys have been at most of the Bestivals so far (either playing live, DJing or raving) and I’m delighted they’re coming back with what promises to be a true one-off and the kind of experience I really love seeing created at Besti. Best start queuing early!’
Taking their place amongst the ever-growing throng of majestic marvels that Bestival has to offer, we are very excited indeed to announce that Friendly Fires will be coming to our eclectic extravaganza to create a truly unique one-off live experience at the RizLab hosted arena on Friday evening, exploring the past, present and future of a mystery musical genre. With RizLab already proving that they’re no strangers to breaking the mould when it comes to having a party, it’s going to be unmissable, as Friendly Fires (fresh from the successes of their critically acclaimed second album ‘Pala’) and special guests (still to be announced) embrace their passions and get experimental. RizLab will be at Bestival with three full days of fun so watch this space for more news as we have it and check www.rizlab.co.uk for information, video & updates.
We’re also very pleased that, for the fifth year running, Time for Tease is back at Bestival and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever before with more tea sittings, more surprises and the return of their fabulous midnight cabaret shows. You’ll be able to make bookings online from August 1st for tea or if you don’t want to commit to a time right now there will be a walk in queue for every sitting, plus there’s the less formal Twilight Tease which are racier than your average tease!
There will also be Dr Sketchy’s – Saucy Life Drawing to release the artist in you, and cabaret extraordinaire with an 80’s extravaganza, ‘C30, C60, C80′s Go’, on Friday night. Beyond the Cabaret paying tribute to some of the greatest Rock Stars, Pop Stars and Diva’s of the last century on the Diva Face Off on Saturday, whilst Sunday sees Sometimes Christmas Comes In… September, the legendary out of season yuletide rave-up.
