Police are appealing for the driver of a car to come forward after a collision involving a pedestrian was reported in Sandown on the Isle of Wight.
A 25-year-old woman from the Isle of Wight, was injured in a collision with a car at the junction of Avenue Road and Fort Street at around 8pm on Saturday, July 30, 2011.
Investigating officer PC Dan Renshaw of the Sandown Bay Safer Neighbourhoods team said: “The injured pedestrian has told police the car was a silver hatchback with two women travelling inside. They may have been under the impression that the pedestrian was not hurt at the time, but we need these motorists to come forward so police can confirm all the circumstances. This collision took place on the same evening as Sandown Carnival so I would also appeal for any witnesses to contact police.”
