Fun & exhibitions at Freshwater arts and crafts event

The popular annual Outdoor Arts and Crafts event held on the Freshwater Library lawns celebrates its 17th anniversary this year when it takes place on Wednesday 17th August.

The event attracts many of the Isle of Wight’s top artists and crafts people to the library lawns. This year, the event has already attracted a wide variety of exhibitors including crafts people, jewellery makers, felt craft skills and glass painting, as well as local photographs and paintings.

Children are also catered for, with Rhymetime for babies and toddlers between 1030 – 1100, followed by a storytime for 5 – 9 year olds. After this at 1130, Paul van Giap will run a circus mask making workshop for children of all ages.

Refreshments will also be available, courtesy of the Women’s Institute for Freshwater Lifeboat funds.

The arts and crafts will be displayed on the lawns from 1000 – 1600.
