CCTV appeal after racial abuse at takeaway

Police wish to trace this man after allegations of abuse

Police are issuing a CCTV image of a man they wish to trace after allegations of racially aggravated abuse at a takeaway on the Isle of Wight.

Officers are continuing to investigate after they were called to Charcoal Grill on Union Street in Ryde at around 9.30pm on Sunday, September 18, 2011.

It’s alleged a man verbally abused staff while standing at the counter of the takeaway for several minutes.

Enquiries so far have established CCTV images from the shop. This footage shows a man police wish to identify and speak with about the allegation.

This man or anyone with information about his identity and whereabouts are asked to contact Shanklin Police Station by phoning 101.
